Week 23 Update

Hello everyone. This is Stephen again for Ellen. Ellen is doing better as far as contractions, but on a high dosage of Mag Sulphate to accomplish this. Dr. Elliott is very hopeful that we can still reach our goal of 32 weeks. Ellen gets two different rewards when she behaves(contractions). They are hydrotherapy and wheelchair rides. The hydrotherapy consists of a giant bath tub that she gets to float in. I didn't see this happen so that's about all I have to say about that.

Here is a pic of Kimber, Ellen, and Amy on one of Ellen's 30 min excursions to the "Healing garden" The Hospital has 4 different gardens. This is our favorite.

Here is a broad pic of the healing garden.

Thanks to our wonderful family, friends, and church family, Ellen has a well decorated room.

The mag causes Elle to feel hot, so the room is VERY cold. (see proof above as two healing garden gnomes visited)

I am making light, but Ellen and I are very thankful for everyone's thoughts and prayers. We are keeping track of all of the loving things everyone is doing for us. The volume is already overwhelming.

  4. Stephen,

You don't know me, but I'm one of Ellen's customers. We at NOV are keeping up with the updates. I'm so relieved you are able to spend so much time with her. I know she needs you there, it's got to be so hard for her. All of us are keeping you, Ellen and the babies in our prayers. And, I'm looking forward to the day when Ellen drives up with the "Mini Van" to show off those five precious babies...I know Ellen is going thru alot now, but hang in there...you're doing a great job.

  6. Well this IS one way to save on maternity clothing, Mrs. Howell! We continue to pray for ya'll and send food over to Stephen. I sure do miss seeing you, but trust that GOD has his eyes on you, and is keeping you better than anyone else can. I sent you a little package. I guess it can be for whoever is there with you since you really can't focus. Your mom was filling us in today on how the hospital staff fuss over you and want to be on call for you! Of course they do! I wish I could be a nurse on call for you! Know we love you and pray for you regularly. I even have my ladies on my bulletin board praying for you; they ask for regular updates on you. So you have got to know how far reaching your story goes and is blessing the lives of folks! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

  8. I'm jealous! Y'all look like you are having "fun" in the garden, while I am chained to my desk, working my tuckas off . . . lord willing and Bechtel doesn't interfere, Jim and I will be there in June.

I love you sister, and I know that you love my nieces and nephews, but could you quit hugging them so hard?
