1st Family Vacation
We took our first family vacation to Austin. My BFF has a lake house that she let us use for the weekend. Getting there and back was a titch challenging as it is a 3 hour drive, but it was soooo worth it.
The house was perfect for us. The living area was one huge space, so no matter where you were you could see all of the babies. Some of the babies favorite things to do in the house...
Hang on to the window sills -
Climb on the bar stools -
Swim in the pool -
When we would put the babies down for naps or bedtime, Stephen and I would go and sit by or in the pool and just relax.
On Saturday, our close friends came to hang out at the pool with us. It was like old college days except with 9 kids!! We had SOOOOO much fun!!!
p.s. getting 5 babies ready to swim in the sun was a workout, but totally worth it when I saw the smiles!

The babies would "walk" back and forth on the swim deck in their floaties.

Swimming
I have been trying to think of weekly summer outings for us, so when Miss Jan asked us to come swimming at her house I was like, Perfect! Jan has been coming to help me out once a week from near the beginning... (She is the dental hygienist of a friend from church... She came over for the first time as a stranger and instantly became our friend!)
The babies LOVED the water... Mitchell, Luke and Brie kicked and splashed. Ivy and Sidney leaned back and relaxed. I think they may be my sun bathing beauties. Our sweet nanny, Melissa, came with us, thank goodness, because I think taking them swimming is a 3 person job. (At least for now.)
Because we had so much fun at the pool, when we went to my sister Amy's house the next day, I asked her to whip out her baby pool... The babies sat around the edge and splashed away... No swimsuits this time. Luke was the most adventurous and went in face first after a ball! We had so much fun!!
